I have enjoyed photography ever since I can remember, and in recent years I have become quite passionate about the medium.
While I enjoy shooting all manner of subjects, from people to automobiles to landscapes, nature photography is a consistent favourite.
For gear, I use Canon DSLR equipment. My current (as of Sep 2013) go-to camera body is the superlative Canon 1Dx, most often paired with the ultra-sharp Canon 600mm f4L ISII lens – a killer combination for bird photography. I shoot hand-held 99% of the time. And for post-processing, I find myself part of the somewhat rarer breed who use Corel Paintshop Pro.
An Australian by birth, and now a proud Canadian citizen, I reside in Calgary, Alberta.
All very good shots, Tim. Thanks for sharing.
I note that you’re using Canon. May we ask the model of your camera and the lenses you use on your shoots? Just curious.
Thanks for the kind words, Ken. I use a Canon 7D (or my back-up Rebel XSi) body with the following: for birds, the Canon 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS lens, with aperture set to low as possible & same for ISO. For bugs, I use the Canon f2.8L ISII lens with an MR14EX ring-flash depending on the light.
Cheers,
Tim.
